Tec Inc. as a consultant to Hasenstab Architects completed the engineering design for the renovation of 2,500 SF on the First Floor of Millis Hall for an Ultra Fast Spectroscopy Lab. The main area is 1,700 SF with three new bays of Laser Spectroscopic equipment and associated Prep Lab. The second area is 800 square feet retail area for the display and purchasing of supplies from Fisher Scientific. The third area is a small storage area of only 72 square feet but contains gas cylinders with auto change manifold. A large space below that originally held the building’s chiller, was used for the mechanical equipment and the Nitrogen Generator. Tec’s services included complete replacement of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and technology pathways with new equipment.
