Tec Inc. provided engineering services for the renovation of the Boyd Science Center at Muskingum University, enhancing key academic, and student-focused spaces to support modern learning environments and campus accessibility.
The project included the renovation of the main entrance lobby, an adjacent meeting room, and an auditorium. Improvements featured new floor, wall, and ceiling finishes; upgraded HVAC ceiling diffusers and registers; and new energy-efficient lighting. This project also incorporated updated signage, enhanced way finding, and technology upgrades to improve functionality and user experience. Planned auditorium enhancements included a new video wall, updated lighting controls, and a new sound system.
The renovation upgraded the restrooms with reconfiguration to improve accessibility and user flow. One of the existing offices was converted into a new single-occupant restroom. Restroom improvements included new finishes, toilet partitions, plumbing fixtures, HVAC duct modifications to align with revised layouts, and upgraded energy-efficient lighting systems.
Through thoughtful coordination and system upgrades, the Boyd Science Center renovation provides refreshed, efficient, and future-ready spaces that enhance the academic experience for students and faculty.
