Tec Inc. provided mechanical and electrical engineering for a renovation and expansion of Hanover College’s Stadium. The college planned to repurpose existing occupied spaces under the seating to a more utilitarian use and construct new multistory locker room and athletic offices structure. The project consisted of approximately 17,450 sq. ft. of new addition and approximately 6,800 sq. ft. of renovation under the bleachers. Our scope of mechanical engineering services included new AHU and exhaust equipment, duct work and diffusers including the design of new air conditioning. The electrical design included new electrical service and distribution, new branch circuit panel boards, general power to mechanical equipment connections and lighting systems which included exit and emergency egress illumination. A new building fire alarm system design was included as part of our electrical systems design. Technology design involved voice/data system raceways and service point locations for staff offices, and selected support areas, as well as the completion of designs for the telecommunications room requirements, equipment rack, patch panels routers etc. for the building. Wireless access design was also included and involved coordination with the Campus Technology network to determine origin of service, building entrance location and pathway requirements. An energy code compliance calculation for the envelope of the building was conducted and followed the latest State of Ohio referenced ASHRAE 90.1 specifications.
