Oak Street Health is an independent health provider specializing in providing primary care services to urban populations throughout the eastern and midwestern United States. This project was the redevelopment of an existing strip center for medical office space. The fit out included exam rooms, a break room, toilet facilities, visitor waiting area, food prep area, a trucker’s area, and restrooms.

Tec provided electrical engineering to complete the lighting and lighting controls and new general-purpose receptacles and specific power requirements. Electrical design included providing new branch circuit panels, electrical distribution and branch circuits for the lighting, power and various mechanical equipment within the space. We also provided design for voice and data pathways, as well as a new fire alarm system. Mechanical engineering included the new rooftop HVAC system with associated ductwork and controls.

Tec designed replacement HVAC equipment in the tenant area using curb adaptors. HVAC also included design of the new control system, diffuser layout and new air volume calculations. Exhaust fans were provided in the toilet rooms.
