Tec Inc. provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services for the
renovation of four hospital fluid analyzer laboratory facilities throughout Northeast Ohio for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Engineering work was provided at Huron,
Euclid, Hillcrest, and South Pointe hospitals. The project involved the installation
of a new hematology fluid analyzer in each laboratory. The analyzer had specific
ventilation and electrical requirements that required extensive design to interface
with the existing laboratory utilities. Because of the critical nature of the lab, the
entire renovation had to be coordinated with the hematology department staff so that ongoing operations could continue during construction. The project was designed using a phased construction approach that enabled the staff to continue operations at each facility while construction was underway.
