This project involved the renovation of a 2,600 sq. ft. lab into two separate food lab spaces—Sensory and Chemistry. The Chemistry Lab, used for microbiology testing, supports the strict FDA guidelines used to test food products handled through this facility. Due to the sensitive nature of the lab equipment, strict temperature and humidity controls are necessary. Temperature and humidity ranges (65-79˚ and 35% +/- 15%) required a new rooftop HVAC unit and custom programming/integration into the building’s automation system (BAS).
