Marketing and Communications Assistant / Coordinator

Engineering & Design is looking for a Marketing Assistant/Coordinator to join our marketing team! Attention to detail and collaborative approach are necessary to execute all activities related to project pursuits and promoting Tec’s services and capabilities. 


Responsibilities :

  • Developing graphics, document formatting, and administrative support for the Marketing and Business Development Department

  • Working with Marketing/Business Development Director and technical staff to develop responses to RFP/RFQs

  • Write, update, and edit non-technical content for proposals and marketing materials

  • Develop and update employee resumes and project descriptions

  • Monitor websites and publications for opportunities and distribute to appropriate team members; update opportunity and proposal tracking database

  • Attend pre-proposal meetings and make proposal deliveries, occasionally

  • Assist with preparation of presentations and interviews

  • Support business development and public relations initiatives as required

  • Work with staff in multiple locations and occasional travel to other offices


Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviors: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing

  • Requires significant reading comprehension, writing, and editing skills and ability to complete work assignments independently 

  • Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team  

  • Capable of handling different personalities and/or situations with emotional intelligence 

  • Organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to prioritize 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment

  • Positive attitude, strong business acumen, accountability & personally motivated 


Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major in marketing, communications, or related 

  • 0-3 years of marketing/communication experience (preferably in the AEC or Professional Services industry)

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite 

  • Ability to analyze data and be a creative problem solver 

  • Understanding of Graphic design concepts

  • Understanding of Social media strategy and SEO

  • Website design/editing capabilities

  • Understanding of CRM basic concepts


This position requires the ability to meet deadlines, be flexible with changing priorities, a high level of organization and attention to detail, critical thinking, and self-motivation. This position will have a flexible and/or remote work availability and may require occasional overtime, including evenings or weekends, to meet submission deadlines.
