Two new facilities in Mansfield will bring individuals struggling with addition one step closer to recovery. The addition of a second New Beginnings treatment facility will allow gender-specific housing and separate buildings for men and women. The withdrawal management facility, or detox center, is the first of its kind for this community and for Catalyst Life Services.
The Richland County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board selected Catalyst Life Services to operate a new detox center and new residential facility for people seeking addiction treatment. The buildings were constructed on Scholl Road, next to the current New Beginnings facility.
Tec completed mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for the new single-story structure totaling approximately 6,700 SF sixteen (16) bed drug and alcohol dependency rehabilitation with ten (10) resident rooms, two (2) program rooms, two (2) shower rooms, kitchen and dining room, (1) staff/public toilet room. Living area, nurses station, staff offices and support areas are also included on the existing campus site. Tec also coordinated with the civil engineer for utility services brought to the site for extension into the building. Tec also provided design for fire protection.
