Tec Inc. completed the renovation of approximately 10,500 sq. ft., primarily for hospital administrative offices, in an “open office” floor plan. The project will also include nine (9) private offices, and an employee lounge area. HVAC systems included the addition of (2) new rooftop HVAC units with DX cooling and gas heat. The systems incorporated normal office area zoning with VAV control, existing perimeter hot-water finned tube radiation and all new distribution ductwork. The existing Siemens Building Automation System was modified and expanded for the new equipment controls. A small split-system air conditioning unit was designed for the Technology Closet. We provided an analysis of the building high humidity issue, and determined it to be a malfunction of the existing air handling unit, and/or the associated system controls. New lighting, lighting controls and branch power systems were provided throughout the renovated area using and extending the existing branch panels on the Third Floor, and adding new panels to support the new required circuits. We also extended and added to the existing Siemens Building fire alarm system to meet present NFPA and ADA requirements. Tec provided the design and specifications for the telecommunications wiring system, as identified in the Phase 1 Documents. This includes the fit-out of a new IT closet on the Third Floor.
