Canton Centennial Park

Over the last three decades, the City of Canton endeavored to provide for its citizens a central public space that would be both iconic in its design and transformative in its approach as to encourage economic development, strengthen the downtown core and enhance surrounding neighborhoods. The Canton Centennial Plaza project is that space for the city, establishing a central green space for the community and a regional destination for visitors. Tec Inc. assisted Tec Studio in completing the lighting and technology design services for the $12.3 million dollar new construction outdoor plaza.

The project included a stage, amphitheater with seating for up to 1000, beer garden and Cafe. The lighting design incorporated color-changing lighting effects into the plaza structure as well as highlights to the large sculptural rotunda and new LED street lighting. The team also provided a stage lighting package with a 3 phase disconnect to accommodate touring shows. The technology design included public wifi access, security and communications for staging. Tec Inc. performed electrical engineering for the wiring and connections for lighting and technology.
