Tec completed the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Lighting Design Services for the preparation of construction documents for a mixed-use student housing project in Akron, Ohio. The project redeveloped the entire city block, bounded east/west by S. High and South Main Streets, and north/south by Cedar and East Exchange Streets.

The project scope involved two buildings housing approximately 250 students with a fitness center, eight bars and/or restaurants and up to five commercial copy centers or similar spaces to be used for commercial tenants.

Tec completed the HVAC, plumbing and electrical design for each of the suite types, as well as the public spaces and support areas. Tec coordinated the site utilities and brought utility services into the complex with two underground primary lines for redundancy.

Coordination of incoming Telephone, Cable, Internet services and Fire Suppression Systems were also part of the services provided.
