Tec Inc. performed the electrical engineering services for this 309,305 square feet, eleven floor student housing project, The Edge. The building located near the Cleveland State University campus, includes a first floor fitness center, lobby and club room and detached garage parking deck. Our work included preparing Construction Documents showing the electrical scope of the project from the 50% SD phase through construction. Tec engineering consisted of providing for general power and lighting design of the building and garage, electrical service design and service calculations, layout of electrical equipment, tenant metering and distribution system design, generator system design, mechanical equipment coordination and power supply connection design, design of the first floor fitness, lobby and club room spaces, low voltage telecommunications and CATV layout, fire alarm, security, sound and IDF/MDF room layouts.

The power and lighting floors plans were also completed including a one line diagram, panel schedules, load calculations, bus duct layout, wire sizing, device layout and coordinate the electrical equipment and systems with the other building systems. The final deliverables were finished construction documents suitable for permitting and construction.

In a later phase, we provided the lighting for the associated courtyard and street lighting for the exterior of the development as well as security camera, card reader, and security locations on the electrical plans.
