Throughout the country, DairyMart convenience stores are being remodeled into Circle K stores and many of the existing stores are also having additional services completed. Tec Inc. is responsible for the engineering for all of the stores in the Midwest, which has totaled more than 800 stores since 2004. Based on criteria set forth from Circle K’s corporate office, the store remodels fall into different categories; full remodel with additional beer cave, full remodel without a beer cave, a food island, coffee bar or beer cave addition. Most store remodels include a field visit to determine existing conditions. Engineering includes HVAC, power for equipment and lighting at each store. Plumbing design is completed for the beverage machine sinks and restrooms.
