Tec completed the electrical and mechanical engineering for a new Chevrolet store located in Stow, Ohio. As part of the scope of services, Tec engineers prepared a load calculation for the water, gas and electric services, determined the location of service entrances and orientation of the site utilities, located the major mechanical and electrical equipment and proposed loads to be utilized in the new building, coordinated the site utility services and layout, and designed new under slab sanitary and storm routing. The mechanical engineering scope of services included HVAC and exhaust design for roof top heating and cooling equipment for the sales, parts, and service write up areas. Heat in the service bays and service write up areas was provided via IR tube heaters. Vehicle exhaust evacuation design was also included in our scope of mechanical work. The plumbing design included all piping distribution, under slab sanitary, riser diagrams, and schedules to within 5’ of the building outside perimeter. The electrical design consisted of lighting—interior and exterior, power and equipment connections. Tec engineers circuited the lighting and provided a photometric plan to show the lighting controls and lighting levels throughout the exterior lot. Also included in the design was a fire alarm notification device layout. Low voltage telecommunications rough-in for raceways and boxes was also included. Electrical documents showing exit and emergency egress illumination, lighting system branch circuit wiring, general power receptacles, power branch circuit wiring, and mechanical equipment rounded out the scope of work. Other projects for the Ron Marhofer Auto Family include Marhofer Hyundai of Green Service Garage Addition and a new Chevy store (under construction) on Home Avenue in Akron, Ohio.
