Terry Kilbourne

The founder of the firm, Terrance M. Kilbourne opened Tec Inc. Engineering & Design in 1983. Guided by values that put employees first, he created a company where employees want to spend their careers, the average tenure is 15 years.
Terry instilled several tenants he held during his military service in the firm's values. Tec's role is not just completing a project, but building relationships with the community and clients. We continue to work with several clients who started with us when the firm was founded due to the relationships Terry fostered.
His vision allowed the company to grow from our headquarters in Eastlake to 30 employees with additional offices in Columbus and Pittsburgh.
Terry retired in 2023 after leading the company for 40 years. He now serves on the Board of Directors as Chairman Emeritus. He continues to serve in several community organizations and leads with the firm's values in those positions.
