On the afternoon of Tuesday, October 8th, 2019, Adam and Terry Kilbourne from Tec Inc. Engineering & Design were on hand as Gannon University took the first major steps towards the construction of the Institute for Health and Cyber Knowledge, or I-HACK. The first phase of the $13 million project is the interior demolition of Gannon University’s Knight Center, whose walls were met with sledgehammers during Tuesday’s ceremonies, celebrating the kick-off to the innovative new center on Gannon’s campus.

Tec Inc. Engineering & Design provided engineering services, joining Building Systems, Inc. and The Collaborative and to help deliver this forward-thinking new project at Gannon.

The initial phase of the project includes the renovation of the first floor’s lobby and entrance, in addition to a second-floor designed to make Gannon’s academic environment more vibrant for students. The second floor learning enhancements, meant to cross a selection of disciplines, houses a space for those focused on cybersecurity, cyber engineering, healthcare, computer-based applications, business management, and criminal justice with a focus on cyber defense.
